Why Chose TCWS

I have been playing and creating in wire for many years. My first attempts started in 1963 at age 10. Through the 60 years I have developed my own distinct style in representing Natures trees. whether free standing or encased in etched glass and bespoke wood frames, carful detail is given to representing the beauty of trees.

I am inspired to create these works of art through the words of the German – Swiss Poet Herman Karl Hesse.

“ for me , trees have always been the most penetrating preachers. I revere them when they live in tribes and families in forests and groves. And even more I revere them when they stand alone…

About us

Thank you for visiting my website. My background in this art form started when I would go to work with my father. Lloyd was a contractor and built homes, churches and other buildings in Northern California . My mother felt it was good for me to work during the summers off from school and stay out of trouble. So from the age of 10 I worked with my father in construction. While working I found myself drawn to the copper wire I would find while cleaning up. This of course was my first job, a go-for what ever Lloyd required ie nails saws lumber and to keep the work area clean. Wire left by the electricians was easy to find and . I found enjoyment in creating with the copper in my spare time and have been doing that ever since. That was a long time ago, and my wire art went only to family and friends. Art seemed to come naturally, and i fallowed that Idea. Receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in college. As a young adult i started out to be an artist, but soon found out that is a rough road to go If you like things like housing and food etc. so I decided to find another career to provide life’s necessity and save my art for fun. The career I found was nursing. This career has been rewording in my life for over 40 years. I was an operating room registered nurse and my wire art, has been my therapy helping me to forget things I’ve dealt within caring for people. So the two have melded in my life and sustained physical need as well as emotional comfort with my art therapy. In my present world and with friends who convinced me to sell my wire sculptures, i found a collaborative gallery to join which allows me to sell and represent my art to the surrounding area. Through that outlet my art has grown which has lead to this need of a website. In this website you can view my art, which is the first question people ask, Where can I see more of your work. Here you can view various sculptures i’ve created out of wire. And I hope you enjoy them as much as i enjoyed creating them. I also make all the wood frames and etch the glass as well that you will see in my gallery of past projects. Some are made just for the gallery while others are consignment project where people who see my art but require different style and sizes for their special needs. These are some of the most rewording projects for me as i get to meet and create something special with you. My plan for the future is to continue to grow in this art of mine which provides great comfort as i get older and continue to meet new people and make friends along the way through my art. You can find my contact information in this site and please feel free to inquire about anything you see.
